Set right on the water’s edge, this holiday home connects you to the Solway Coast, the perfect setting for a getaway with family or friends. The property is situated in Kippford, a beautiful village that hugs the banks of the Urr Estuary. It’s a popular coastal destination with a sailing club (less than 0.5 miles away) that promises trips out onto the water and an exceptional water sports offering. The village is paired with neighbouring Rockcliffe (4.5 miles), and the two are linked by the charming 3.5-mile Jubilee Path, a scenic footpath that leads through beautiful wildlife habitats and tidal mudflats. From the village, check the tides and take the causeway over to Rough Island (4 miles), a fabulous hiking destination. Nature lovers can take a trip to RSPB Mersehead (8 miles), a seabird habitat along the coast, stopping off at the spectacular Mares Braids Waterfall along the way (6 miles).

Decorated with a fresh palette of crisp whites and coastal blues, this attractive holiday home offers a sense of peace from the moment you step inside. Stop off in the porch, where there’s space to sit and rest, before making your way into the beautifully bright living room. This comfortable space is a haven of soft seating and restful energy, complete with a coal-effect electric fire, a TV/DVD player, and a selection of books and games. Next to it, the dine-in kitchen is just as light and spacious, fully equipped with every necessary appliance and featuring a circular dining table for sociable mealtimes. Just off this space, a utility room adds extra functionality. Completing the ground floor, the first of four bedrooms provides a calm, quiet place to rest. It’s a double bedroom with a downstairs WC right next door. Take the stairs up to the first floor to find the remaining bedrooms – one double, one twin, and one single – each spacious, with crisp linens and admirable views. These rooms are served by a refreshing family bathroom, completing the floor.

At the front of the property, sit on the gravelled patio and let the sound of the crashing waves wash over you. A quieter, more secluded space can be found out back. This large, grassy lawn is enclosed, creating a fabulous area for children to run around. Outdoor furniture and a BBQ come in handy on summer afternoons, allowing you to make the most of this inviting outdoor space.

Lovely location and the cottage was cosy and toastie warm. Lots of hot water and plenty of pots and pans in the spacious kitchen. The local pub, The Mariners, was friendly and the food was good. The local Golf Club was also very friendly. The local shop and cafe, The Ark, sold delicious ice cream and the food in the cafe was delicious. A lovely well appointed cottage where we were very comfortable. If you are older, as we all were, the stairs were a slight problem as there was no bannister to help us up. Apart from that we were very happy there . Thank you

A lovely house in a beautiful location, there's a friendly pub just around the corner and a local shop in the next village. There's plenty of space, good sized rooms and a great front garden to sit-back and relax.
