Tap into your creative side with a stay in the delightful town of Kirkcudbright, Scotland’s ‘artists’ town’, brimming with galleries and stunning scenery that practically begs to be painted. The property sits on the quiet edge of town, just a half-mile walk from the centre. Younger ones will find plenty to adore here, including museums, galleries and the Dark Space Planetarium. A selection of bars and restaurants line the tranquil waters of the estuary, while also offering easy walking routes to explore the fabulous Dumfries and Galloway countryside and spot local wildlife. For cyclists, National Cycle Route 7 passes through the town, just across the water. For a trip to the sea, venture 4 miles along the river to Dhoon Beach, an east coast destination that’s simply beautiful first thing in the morning. Around 15 miles away, the edge of Galloway Forest Park unlocks further adventures, including woodland hikes and mountain biking.

Extremely spacious throughout, there’s more than enough room for up to ten guests to truly spread out in this welcoming home-from-home. Creature comforts fill every nook and cranny of this space, so step inside and get cosy. Most of the accommodation is arranged on the ground floor, including three of the four bedrooms. The living room is an inviting space for relaxation, complete with ample seating, a wood burner and a TV/DVD player ready to play all your favourite shows. Next to it, a dining room provides a dedicated space to sit down together at mealtimes. You’ll also find a breakfast table in the kitchen next door, perfect for more casual meals or preparing a picnic to take out with you. A utility room adds further space and convenience on this floor. All three bedrooms here are light-filled and cheerful, with crisp linens and soft mattresses. The rooms consist of a double and two twins, accompanied by a fully tiled family bathroom. Take the stairs up to the first floor to find the final sleeping suite. The unique layout of this space offers a king-size bedroom with a large lounge area attached, along with an en-suite bathroom. The lounge area includes a double sofa bed, allowing it to double as either a secondary sitting room or an additional bedroom for two.

Attended to with care and thoughtfulness, the property’s terraced garden is a delightful haven when the sun shines. This furnished space is surrounded by pretty flora, featuring a table and chairs for sitting out with a good book and a drink in hand. Private parking for up to four cars is also available.

Great house for a family group, 8 adults and 2 kids. Plenty of space for all of us. Comfortable and well equipped, and in a good location within walking distance of the shops. Great holiday despite mixed weather, only disappointment was that we didn't get a chance to use the bbq and outdoor seating. Would definitely recommend this house.

Really nice house, very well located on the edge of a very nice small town. We were a party of 7 with 2 dogs and all managed to have enough space. House had everything you need and would hope to have. Would recommend and would go back.
