Escape with your partner or family to this welcoming wooden shack in a lovely rural spot, with wonderful opportunities for stargazing on clear evenings. It’s only 4 miles from the bustling harbour town of Oban, which has a chocolate shop, a distillery, two impressive cathedrals and supermarkets. Oban is also known as the Seafood Capital of Scotland – you can sample fresh shellfish right on the quayside and pick up ingredients in its excellent fish shop. For day trips, ferries depart from South Pier (4 miles) for Mull, Colonsay, Tiree, Lismore and Barra, while a water taxi travels from North Pier (3.5 miles) to the nearby island of Kerrera. Enjoy local days by the sea at Ganavan Sands (5.5 miles) or Dunbeg Beach (7.5 miles) and discover local history fans at Dunollie Castle (5 miles) and Dunstaffnage Castle (7 miles).
Everything is arranged on one level, starting with an entrance hallway that leads through to the sociable open-plan kitchen, dining and living room. Here, dual-aspect windows fill the space with natural light, and there are two comfy sofas and a Smart TV all waiting. The well-equipped kitchen makes preparing breakfast or dinner easy, while the dining area provides a comfortable place to gather over home-cooked favourites. Both bedrooms feature sleek wood-panelled walls, with a king-size room for restful nights and a twin room that works well for children or friends. A family bathroom with a shower over the bath and WC completes the inside quarters.
Outside, you’ll have a private decked area with a picnic bench for al fresco meals accompanied by a lovely green view. Ample on-site parking is provided, along with an EV charging point. Younger guests can enjoy the small shared play area, and there’s a characterful pub on-site serving drinks and tasty local fare during seasonal opening hours.
