Surfers can head beyond the harbour for the waves, and the surrounding waters are also suited to fishing, sailing and other water sports. Snowdonia National Park is 5 miles away, with spectacular scenery and walking routes to discover. Nefyn (7.5 miles) is another great destination, with its sweeping beach, shops, pubs, restaurants and golf club. Make the trip to Abersoch (15.5 miles), roam the Italianate village of Portmeirion (20 miles) or, for a change of pace, spend a day in the vibrant city of Bangor (22 miles).
