This delightful country cottage makes a welcoming base for families or groups of friends keen to explore Perth and Kinross. It rests in the rural village of Grandtully, beside the River Tay, with two welcoming pubs within 350 metres and a shop in Strathtay (0.5 miles). Keen walkers can follow the Rob Roy Way directly along the water towards Strathtay, Aberfeldy (4.5 miles) or Pitlochry (9 miles), choosing a route to suit energy levels. The quaint town of Aberfeldy (4.5 miles) has shops, tempting eateries, riverside walks and opportunities to go fishing, while 16th-century Castle Menzies (6 miles) offers a fascinating glimpse into local history. For a bigger outdoor adventure, head to Loch Tay (10.5 miles) for water sports and mountain bike hire. Tay Forest Park (22 miles) has wonderful scenery to discover, or you can test your leg muscles with the hike up Ben Lawers (23 miles).

You’ll enter through a cloakroom/utility room and into a spacious kitchen/diner where you can sit down and share meals. If you’re musically minded, you can have a tinkle on the piano, perhaps sparking up the wood burner to keep you cosy on cooler evenings. Continue into the homely lounge, which has a second wood burner and a Smart TV for relaxed film nights. The separate snug, equipped with another Smart TV, is quieter space where you may like to unwind with a book. A king-size bedroom and shower room with WC complete the ground floor. Upstairs, a second king-size bedroom and a twin bedroom share a bathroom with a shower over the bath and WC.

During your stay, make the most of the outdoor space in the enclosed side garden, which has a large lawn framed by countryside views – excellent for energetic children. A raised decked area with furniture creates the perfect spot ideal for laid-back meals and drinks in the fresh air. Off-road parking is available for two cars.
