An exquisite cottage set in scenic countryside surroundings, this charming retreat is also within easy reach of the picturesque coast. Sleeping six guests, the three-bedroom hideaway is close to Ingham, 2 miles from Stalham, with its shops and pubs, and 3 miles from the beach at Sea Palling, where you can swim and enjoy water sports. Afterwards you may want to visit The Ingham Swan to dine - a Rosette celebrity chef pub in the village. Discover an array of other beautiful beaches, from tranquil Waxham, 4 miles away, where you can dip in the sea and picnic, to Winterton, 10.5 miles away, where you can see colonies of grey seals lolling in the shallows and in the dunes in the autumn and winter or head to the wildlife nature reserve within a short distance. Venture just 2 miles to find yourselves on the fringes of the magnificent Norfolk Broads. Hire a motor cruiser in Stalham and take yourselves off to explore the waterways under your own steam. Plan a day trip to the historic city of Norwich, 18 miles away. Visit the neighbouring village Hickling, with broads access and a village pub on the river.

Return from long coastal walks and days on the beach to find welcoming accommodation where you can rest, socialise and enjoy spending time together. Dating back to 1750, the sympathetically restored cottage still presents an abundance of original character. Hang your coats and leave your bags and footwear in the entrance hall, with its hooks, seating and storage. Wander through to the lounge to light the wood burner, then choose a book, set up a board game or switch on the Smart TV as you savour its cosy glow. From the lounge, a sliding door opens into the friendly kitchen/diner. Conjure up delicious meals in here, finding everything you need to assist you right at your fingertips. Gather round the farmhouse table for jolly holiday meals, perhaps listening to music via the Bluetooth speaker as you dine. Beyond the kitchen is a useful utility area, with a washing machine and a freezer. From here, there is access to the stylish family bathroom, where you can savour a refreshing morning shower or a deep evening bubble bath in the freestanding tub. A porch to the rear of the cottage provides access to the garden. As the sun sets over Norfolk, very carefully climb the traditional Norfolk winder staircase. All three of your bedrooms are on the first floor. These include a spacious king-size, where you will awake to watch the mist rising from the fields, and a lovely double, with built-in storage, a wall-mounted TV and views out across the surrounding countryside. The property’s quirky third bedroom, with characterful, sloping ceilings and a day bed with a pull-out trundle option, can be arranged as either a single or double sleeping space, depending on your requirements. This room also features a TV and an Xbox One, which the younger members of your party will adore.

Take in the far-reaching views from your enclosed garden too. Stretch out on a sun lounger with a cold drink. Cook supper on the BBQ, bask beside the fire pit and enjoy the ambience of the twinkling fairy lights. There is private off-road parking here for three cars.
