The chic apartment is set over the first and second floors of a historic stone building, and sleeps five people in three bedrooms. Ideal for a seaside getaway, it’s just a 50-metre stroll from one of the best beaches in Northumberland. The walk along the esplanade is part of the Northumberland Coast Path – taking you south towards Holy Island (13.5 miles). The beach has lovely views towards Berwick (1.5 miles), where you can explore the Elizabethan Town Walls and the site of a ruined castle, as well as a choice of shops, bars and restaurants. For a family day out, the Ford and Etal estate is 10.5 miles away, offering steam train rides, heavy horses, tours of a working water mill and more. Bamburgh Castle, a Grade 1 listed building, is just a half-hour drive away.
The stylish home-from-home has a reverse-level design, so you’ll store coats and shoes in the hall, then head upstairs to the first floor, where there are three inviting bedrooms. Each has touches of bold colour as well as open storage for your clothes. While the king-size room boasts an en-suite shower, the other two bedrooms share a family bathroom, and there’s also a utility cupboard with a washing machine. Head up to the second floor to find a bright, airy living space with a high-vaulted ceiling and a row of tall skylight windows. At one end of the room, a superb kitchen is equipped with everything you’ll need to create delicious holiday meals, and even includes a wine cooler for accompanying drinks. A sturdy table has room for everyone to dine or spread out a map, and there’s comfortable seating around a Smart TV, waiting for you to spend the evening relaxing together. For quiet moments, sink into the armchair to relax with a book from the bookshelves.
While there is no dedicated outside space for this apartment, the beach is just metres away. In terms of parking, there is a pull-in area opposite the property where several cars can park (subject to availability).
