With miles of ancient woodland 3 miles from your doorstep, the Forest of Dean is ideal for scenic walks and cycling adventures, with a network of trails to suit all abilities. For those seeking a little more excitement, within 12 miles, Symonds Yat offers canoeing, caving and rock climbing, while Go Ape at Mallards Pike and the downhill mountain biking tracks at Sallow Vallets provide thrills for outdoor enthusiasts. The area is also home to popular attractions including Clearwell Caves, Hopewell Colliery, Puzzlewood and Perrygrove Railway, all within 10 miles.

The enclosed garden is designed for relaxation, whether you're soaking up the sunshine with a good book or enjoying the countryside surroundings. Absolutely loved our stay , plenty of space inside the carriage & love how all the shutters open up to get a panoramic view of your surroundings. Very well equipped & loved the hot tub & plunge pool . We will definitely go back one day

We booked 4 nights at the Mill Carriage - the location is gorgeous; the sound of the water from the nearby plunge pool was the perfect backdrop when enjoying the hot tub or the fire pit on a lovely evening. The accommodation itself has everything you would need and there was plenty of home comforts and everything worked as well as we'd expect. We Read moredid find the shower a bit small but the water pressure and amount was perfect for the pair of us. The lighting around the carriage is well-thought out too. We found it easy to get in and out of the location too - shops and places to eat are no more than a 5 minute drive away and we found it the perfect base for our excursions, as we looked to explore the County, as well as hopping over into Wales. There's so much to do within an hour's radius of the property that we are already considering a return visit next year! Converted carriages like this can be hit and miss, but this is a lovely property and we were delighted with our decision to stay there - the owners have made it a stunning little home-from-home and I urge anyone to book it, and enjoy it as much as we did. We chose this accommodation for the plunge pool and hot tube which my wife loved the site is quite secluded but easy to get to surrounding area

A truly unique place. The natural plunge pool is stunning, couldn't believe it is on the doorstep. Not overlooked. Love a quirky accommodation

Lovely accommodation, was everything we hoped for, we were able to have all the doors open during lovely warm September stay. Road noise might cause problems if you're a light sleeper
