Property code: OC-O45887

Situated in the former smuggler’s village of Robin Hood’s Bay, this charming fisherman’s cottage offers an instant sense of warmth and comfort for two guests, making it an ideal choice for those seeking romance, rest, and relaxation. The property is located amongst winding streets just a few metres away from the village’s shops, galleries, pubs, and restaurants, plus its attractive beach with rockpools and fascinating fossils. You can set off and enjoy the vast Yorkshire Coast from here, hiking or driving to Whitby (6 miles), Staithes (15.5 miles), or Scarborough (13 miles) along the water’s edge. When it is sunny, afternoons of sand and sunbathing are on the cards. And when it is cooler, you can pop on your hiking boots and hunt for sea glass on the shores instead. The village sits on the edge of the vast North York Moors National Park, so when you head inland, you will find endless walks to enjoy, too.

The wonky layout of this two-storey property adds to its overflowing charm, and the whitewashed wood panels and nautical accents only amp this up further. Step straight into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, where a well-equipped kitchen invites you to rustle up some tasty dishes, and a lounge space features a wood burner and a Smart TV for those romantic nights in. A winding staircase leads up to the first floor and straight into the double bedroom, a bright, invigorating space for restful nights. The compact shower room is right beside it, fully tiled and ready to offer a hot shower after a long day on the sand.

Due to its town-centre location, there is no outdoor space allocated to this property, but the beach is around 100 metres away. Unallocated parking is available in a public car park nearby (charges may apply).
