Surrounded by the Welsh countryside, this stone holiday cottage is a fantastic base for friends and family wanting to explore the spectacular landscapes of the Brecon Beacons. The national park begins 7 miles from the door, with miles of walking routes through rolling hills, woodland and open moorland. Keen hikers can take on Pen y Fan for one of Wales’ most rewarding mountain adventures, or Elan Valley, but even closer is The Epynt Way. Brecon is 10.5 miles away, where you can wander through the historic town centre, browse independent shops and stop for a meal or drink. Closer still, Builth Wells (7 miles) is a traditional market town with plenty of character. Golfers can head to Cradoc Golf Club, 9 miles away, to play its beautiful 18-hole course, or a further 3 courses within a 20 minute drive. For an action-packed family day, Quacker Playbarn and adventure centre 13 miles away, or Cantref Adventure Farm 15 miles away with the opportunity to roam the landscape on horseback. Alternatively, visit Hay-on-Wye (20 miles), famed for its literary heritage and Buttermarket.

Just inside the entrance, the welcoming living room has comfortable sofas, views across the garden and a TV with freeview for laid-back evenings. When you’re ready to eat, head through to the lovely, separate dining room that gives everyone a dedicated setting for meals and catching up. The well-equipped kitchen combines shaker-style units with all the essentials needed for a self-catering break. When night falls, choose from three bedrooms: two king-size bedrooms and one charming twin bedroom. A stylish shower room completes the accommodation, with a large walk-in shower for freshening up between busy days out.

Outside, the enclosed lawned garden has an outdoor seating area to take in the days sunshine, giving you plenty of choice for sitting out in the fresh air. Garden furniture makes it easy to dine outdoors when the weather allows, while off-road parking for two cars means you can come and go with ease.
