This detached country house is located in a quiet spot amid 600 acres of farmland with fabulous views over the rolling fields leading down to the River Tweed, the border with Scotland. The property’s location just 10 miles inland from Berwick-upon-Tweed makes it an ideal base from which to explore Northumberland and the Scottish Borders. Castles, beaches, golf courses, walking trails and nature reserves are all on the doorstep. From the nearby historic estate of Ford and Etal with the mini steam train (7 miles), to canoeing on the River Till; from the beaches of Scremerston (12 miles) and the rolling dunes of Bamburgh (28 miles), to discovering the magic of Holy Island (22.5 miles), families and groups of friends will be spoilt for choice in terms of activities and visitor attractions. There are some lovely cosy pubs and even a nearby whisky distillery for foodies to enjoy, perfect for warming up in post an outdoorsy adventure.

A stay here offers the perfect luxury escape for multi-generation families and groups of friends to explore the surrounding countryside or simply enjoy the peaceful farmhouse gardens. From the wide entrance hall, step into the impressive sitting room where large bay windows frame dual-aspect views of the gardens, and an open fire invites you to gather on the sofa with friends or family.
