This welcoming property is located just 500 metres from the heart of Clifden, the charming capital of Connemara. With room for five guests in three bedrooms, the house is a comfortable base for exploring nearby amenities and attractions, enjoying Clifden’s regular festivals, and taking part in sporting activities of all kinds, both on land and in the water. Stroll through the market town’s pretty streets and discover its variety of shops, galleries and places to eat – don’t miss the freshly caught local seafood in particular – or spend a while in a friendly pub, listening to some traditional live music. Head out into the countryside for scenic strolls or more challenging hikes in some of the finest landscapes in Ireland. The Connemara National Park is just 9.5 miles away. Drive the extraordinary Sky Road for panoramic vistas or head to the fabulous Mannin Bay Blueway (5.5 miles) for kayaking, snorkelling and paddleboarding in crystal-clear waters.
The house is arranged over two storeys and has an open-plan living space on the ground floor – perfect for sociable relaxation as you unwind from days spent in the outdoors. From the smart hallway, head through to the spacious kitchen/diner, where you’ll be able to make the most of an array of appliances with which to whip up delicious meals. The air fryer and microwave are especially handy, and there’s also a dishwasher to help with cleaning up. A sturdy dining table with room for six looks out over the garden. From here, the space flows through to the traditionally styled lounge, which comfortably accommodates everyone on plush sofas facing an open fire. If you feel like a quiet night at home, there’s a Smart TV on which you can stream your favourite shows. Completing the ground floor is a compact utility room with laundry facilities, which is also home to a handy WC. Take the stairs to the first floor to find all three bedrooms, one of which is a double with an en-suite, while the other two share an elegant family bathroom.
Push back the sliding door in the living space and step into the lawned garden, enclosed by a high wall. A dining set on the small patio area provides a lovely spot in which to enjoy the fresh air, whether it’s with a morning coffee or a sundowner, while a picnic table on the lawn allows for outdoor dining as little ones play.
