For keen walkers, you can join one of the footpaths through Galloway Forest Park (10 miles), or pick up the long-distance Ayrshire Coastal Path, known for its exceptional wildlife. Nearby attractions and days out include Culzean Castle and the world-famous golf courses at Trump Turnberry and Royal Troon (all within 25 miles).
