This welcoming stone-built property dates back to the 18th Century when it was originally a popular village pub known as ‘The Badger Inn’. Now refurbished to a very high standard in a contemporary and quirky style, the cottage has become a lovely, inviting place for a family or friends' holiday, close to the beach, bustling harbour, coastal paths and many of the local attractions in and around Seahouses and Beadnell on the Northumberland coast. Walk to the village amenities, bustling harbour and long, sandy beach in Seahouses. Take a boat trip from Seahouses' harbour across to the Farne Islands to see puffins, seals and other wildlife. Walk on the coastal path to visit iconic Bamburgh Castle (3.3 miles) and Beadnell Bay (3 miles) for a morning stroll, kite surfing and a picnic. Take a day trip to historic Alnwick Castle (15 miles), which fans will recognise from the Harry Potter movies.
The entrance is through the rear door into the utility room with a washer/dryer. This leads directly into the well-equipped kitchen with everything you need to make your meals and drinks during your holiday. Moving through to the light and airy dining room with its feature fireplace, the original stone-flagged floor, beautiful, fresh décor and a large dining table where you can enjoy your meals together. There is a useful cupboard for storing your coats and walking gear too. Across the hallway, you will find the cosy lounge, with a comfortable sofa and two stylish armchairs. Snuggle up in front of the wood-burning stove for relaxing nights in. There is a Freeview TV and a Blu-ray player/DVD, a selection of films, books and a variety of games to keep the whole family occupied. On the first floor, there are two spacious bedrooms, each with storage space for your things: a king-size and a twin bedroom. The generously proportioned family bathroom has a shower over the bath and WC.
Outside, guests are offered an allocated, off-road parking space for one car. The cottage does not have any outside space; however, the main harbour, beach and coastal path are just a short walk from the property, as are all the village amenities, including friendly pubs, restaurants and a wide variety of food and gift shops.
