‘Lowen’ means ‘happy’ in Cornish and, if you’re anything like previous guests, that’s exactly how you’ll feel when you spend your holiday at this delightful 4 Star cottage. Conveniently situated in a quiet cul-de-sac just a short (about 10 minute-depending on how quickly you want to have your pasty!) walk from the many delights of Padstow beach and harbour, Lowen Cottage is also the ideal location from which to explore further afield in this wonderful part of Cornwall. Clean, comfortable and extremely well equipped, the cottage is the perfect all year-round holiday destination – warm and cosy in the winter (with lots of DVDs, books and games if rain stops play outside) and with a private BBQ terrace overlooking amazing countryside views for sunnier days. Super-fast unlimited WiFi, 32 inch Smart TV and Blu-ray/DVD player, sizeable TVs in both bedrooms each one with a separate DVD player are just a few of the other thoughtful touches that will ensure Lowen becomes your ‘happy home from home’ in Cornwall.

Pets go FREE at Lowen Cottage and have a tasty treat waiting for their arrival.

Lounge/Diner: 32 inch Smart TV, Blu-ray/DVD player, CD player/radio, selection of DVDs, books and games, sideboard, fixed stair gate a base of stairs.
Kitchen: Fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, Dolce Gusto coffee maker, washing machine, electric oven, induction hob.

FIRST FLOOR:
Bedroom 1: Double bed (4'6"), DAB radio, chest of drawers, wardrobe, dressing table, TV, DVD player, hair dryer, countryside views 
Bedroom 2: Twin beds (3' - zip and link to form 6' double), clock radio, chest of drawers, wardrobe, dressing table, TV, DVD player, hair dryer.
Shower Room: Thermostatic rainfall shower, basin, w.c.

GARDEN & PARKING: To the rear, small enclosed patio garden, garden furniture, barbecue, countryside views. One designated parking space, other off road spaces nearby. To front, small open plan area with path.

Changeover Day: Saturday - arrival 4:00pm - departure 10:00am.
Pets Welcome: At no extra charge; maximum 2 small or 1 medium dog.
Power and Heat: Gas and electricity included in rent; gas fired c.h./hot water; living flame gas fire in lounge; dual fuel towel rail in shower room.
Bedding and Linen: Bed linen and towels provided (please bring your own beach towels). Please order linked beds in Bed.2 in advance.
Baby Equipment: Baby bath, high chair, two stair gates and travel cot with mattress (guests only need to bring the linen, blanket, cover).
Shop: 300 yds Pub: 0.5 ml

Having stayed at this wonderful cottage multiple times, we can confidently say it remains as exceptional as ever. Helgas warm personal greeting always makes us feel right at home, and the spotless cleanliness never fails to impress. Everything has been thoughtfully provided, with a well-stocked array of equipment that ensures a seamless stay. The Read morewelcoming giftswhether its a lovely bottle of wine or indulgent chocolatesare always a delightful touch. And the beds? They guarantee a restful nights sleep every time. The location is another reason we keep returningjust a pleasant walk to Padstow Harbour, where we enjoy exploring the vibrant atmosphere and excellent local dining. Lowen cottage was perfect for the two of us and our two cockerpoos. Brilliantly equipped with everything we needed and more! So beautifully decorated for Xmas/new year and In an ideal location . We had a lovely week at Lowen Cottage. It was made special by the warm welcome from Helga and all the thought that she had put into making sure that the cottage was comfortable for guests & her obvious love of dogs made it a wonderful 1st holiday for our 6 month old puppy. The cottage is warm, comfortable. There were lots of essentials so teas, cRead moreoffee pods, milk, dishwasher tabs etc & if you need any other bits & bobs Tesco is a 5 minute walk. Although Sarah's View is a little out of town it is still a lovely walk along the estuary past Stein's Fish & Chips & you are at the harbour front in 10 minutes. In the other direction you have the Camel Trail & lots of other walks on the doorstep. Beds, sofas all comfortable. The shower was great. Central heating makes the cottage lovely & toasty in the winter. The back garden secure for the dog. the owner is always only a phone call or text away if any problems or need for local knowledge if needed although she really goes to lots of trouble to explain everything & welcome you on the first day. Also we were so appreciative for their help on the last day due to the weather conditions. We will definitely be back again Thank you to the owner ! Hide

Lowen Cottage is a warm and welcoming property and a real home from home. perfect host and greeted us with a smile and made a fuss of our dog. She also left some very welcome treats for us. The property is very well equipped with everything you could need for a week away and more. It is in an excellent location, around a 10 minute walk into PadsRead moretow and within easy driving distance to other locations in North Cornwall. We would recommend this property to our friends and family and would book to stay again in the future. Hide

Lowen cottage is a fantastic place to stay. It is very well equipped, clean and well positioned for all local amenities l. Lowen Cottage is in a perfect location for exploring the beautiful town of Padstow and the surrounding areas. The cottage itself is kept in an immaculate condition by the super friendly owner who lives locally. She really does ensure the property is kept spotless and guests have everything they could ever need. The kitchen has every gadget and uRead moretensil you could ever need and the living room and bedroom both have smart TVs. Owner loves dogs and they are well catered for; she even provided doggie cup cakes for our four legged friends. Their owners are not forgotten and we too were spoiled with some nice welcome gifts. There is ample parking and a Tesco within walking distance. The cottage enjoys wonderful views to the rear with a nice set of patio table and chairs to relax in after the day's walks. We return regularly as it is such a wonderful property: highly recommended. Hide

The cottage and Helga are exactly as I read in other reviews, in other words very good indeed, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Helga was a delightful host. We love Padstow and the walk from the cottage was very easy, slightly harder coming back up the hill but we didnt mind at all, good exercise for us and the dog. Overall, ten out of ten!

We have stayed in many 'cottages' over several decades and this one is by far away the cleanest. There is an extensive range of equipment making it suitable for adults, children, and dogs. There is everything you need for self-catering including washing, coffee/tea making, cleaning etc. It is a very homely property with extremely comfortable beds, Read morestacks of games, videos etc for rainy days, full central heating and even a gas fire. We consider it great value for money, with parking and even a range of consumables left by the owner. It is just over half a mile easy walk to the harbour, pubs, shops, and restaurants, and is very quiet throughout the day and night with lovely views across fields. It also has a fully enclosed rear garden. For all these reasons and more, we have stayed at Lowen Cottage five times and highly recommend it. Hide

We have stayed at Lowen cottage on many occasions and it is the best holiday cottage we have stayed in. Helga is a superb host, so friendly and welcoming. Helga goes that extra mile making the cottage home from home with lots of extra treats.

Lowen Cottage is the best property we have ever stayed in. A wonderful welcome including treats not only for us but for our dog too. The cottage is warm, cosy and extremely well equipped. A short walk from the harbour, lovely beaches and the Camel trail. Everything you need for a fabulous holiday and we will be back.
