Spend the day surfing, swimming or fossil hunting at Compton Bay (5 miles), discover the dramatic clifftop attractions at Blackgang Chine (2.5 miles), or enjoy scenic walks along the nearby Chale Trail (0.5 miles), leading to St Catherine's Oratory and the rugged coastline beyond. Back on site, guests can enjoy the world-class skatepark, communal fire pit and peaceful courtyard setting, making this a memorable escape for all ages.

As you approach the property, you'll arrive via an attractive shared courtyard before stepping through the front door into a welcoming entrance area. Directly ahead is the contemporary shower room with WC, while to your right the space opens out into the impressive open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Boasting vaulted ceilings and flooded with natural light, this welcoming room has been thoughtfully designed for spending quality time together. Comfortable sofas, a TV and a dining table create the perfect social hub, whilst the well-equipped kitchen includes an electric oven, induction hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher for easy holiday dining. Leading from the living area are the two ground-floor bedrooms. The spacious king-size zip-and-link bedroom can be arranged as twin beds upon request, offering flexible sleeping for couples, friends or families. Adjacent is a cosy bunk bedroom with full-size single bunk beds, making it an ideal room for younger guests. Stairs lead to a delightful first-floor snug, providing an additional place to relax after a day exploring the island. Complete with a second TV, DVD collection, games and comfortable seating, this cosy hideaway is perfect for family film nights or rainy afternoons. Please note that the staircase is steep and children must be supervised at all times when using the stairs.

Outside, enjoy your large shared courtyard with private garden furniture, perfect for morning coffee or dining alfresco in the fresh countryside air. Venture further around the site to discover shared seating areas and a designated fire pit, available by prior arrangement with the owner.   • Please note there is a water irrigation pump which is located behind the cottage. It is occasionally used by the farmer to pump water to the agricultural land beyond. We mention this so on the rare occasions it is accessed, you know why the farmer is there.
