Lindos is a fantastic Victorian house with a large, fabulous, elevated deck overlooking the river and just a 10 minute walk to the centre of Looe. This spacious accommodation is perfect for family or friends looking for a Cornish break close to the coast. The stunning dining area and lounge provide an ideal space for entertaining and on a lovely summer's evening you can open the double doors onto the expansive deck and watch the sun go down. The loft master bedroom, newly-added in the Spring of 2019, with its own private bathroom and balcony, is a fabulous addition to this spacious house. The views from this balcony stretch out in both directions - the most private place to relax and enjoy an early morning coffee. A short walk along the road takes you into the centre of town where you can wander through the quaint streets or along the harbour side and explore the range of gift shops, galleries, cafes and restaurants.

In addition to the bedrooms listed below, there is a further bunk room suitable for two children on the ground floor. This room can be booked for an additional charge of £20 per day - please call our team on 01841 533331 if you would like to take advantage of this bedroom. Please be aware that the living and dining room provide seating for 8 people in comfort.

Kitchen: A spacious room with a good range of fitted units, 5 ring gas hob and double electric oven, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave, breakfast bar and additional dining area, Smart TV.

FIRST FLOOR:
Bedroom 2:
King size bed (5'), bedside units, oak chest of drawers x 2, and gorgeous views to the river through the bay window. En suite shower room.
Bedroom 3: King size bed (5'), bedside units, chest of drawers, oak wardrobe, vanity unit and views to the river
Bedroom 4: Twin beds (3'), bedside unit, oak wardrobe, views to the river
Bathroom: A stylish bathroom with thermostatic shower, bath with hand-held shower, vanity unit and separate WC

SECOND FLOOR:
Master Bedroom: King size bed (5'), bedside units, chest of drawers. Double doors leading out to balcony with panoramic views along the river in both directions. En suite bathroom: Bath, separate shower with luxury double-head, basin, WC, heated towel rail.

GARDEN & PARKING: Verandah with views of the river. 2 parking spaces, one is located directly opposite the front gate, the others are 50m along the road towards Looe. All are clearly signed.

Changeover Day: Saturday - arrival  3:00pm - departure 10:00am
Pets Welcome: 2 dogs maximum; £25 per pet per week.
Power and Heat: Gas and electricity included in rent; gas-fired central heating, flame-effect gas fire
Bedding and Linen: Pillows & duvets included; bed linen and towels provided. Please bring your own beach towels
Baby Equipment: Travel cot provided. Fixed stairgates in place at the bottom of both flights of stairs.
Shop: 400m Pub: 300m

NOTES: No smoking. WiFi provided. Mobile reception varies. The property has 22 steps in three sections up to the decking and entrance door. There is approx. 200m of road from the house to the pavement which leads to Looe.

Fantastic view lovely evenings spent on the terrace short walk to looe just be careful crossing the road only a few meters walk before a pavement burned off our pasties walking back up from looe

We had a really enjoyable family stay at Lindos. It is nicely situated just outside of Looe town and has the most wonderful views over the East Looe River. Sadly for us this was not and enjoyable stay. The house was not clean. The bed linen smelt bad. The sofa gap was absolutely disgusting. The glass gate at the top of the stairs to the patio is an extremely dangerous and not well thought out design. Had I of fully understood the set up I would not have rented this house. I genuinely do not think thiRead mores house makes a good holiday let for this reason. People trying to juggle shopping - children - dogs - buggy - beach stuff are at risk of falling. The steps are steep and the treads are short. The gate swings closed on you (I guess a safety measure to keep children and dogs on the patio) but it ends up pushing onto you whilst either trying to get up - or it swings on you whilst trying to get down. Either way you end up getting pushed onto the steps. It also has an awkward catch pin you have to fiddle and pull out to open the gate - whilst juggling holiday life. Added to the fact it is a glass gate so a little weighty to add to everything else. This is literally an insurance claim waiting to happen. I have now put this in writing and verbally to holiday cottages. There is parking for the house - but be aware it is a pull in on the tight road into Looe. You get straight out your car into the road. You have to cross the road into the small wooden gate at the bottom of the stairs leading to the patio. You cannot open the bottom gate fully as the bin is there. Again this is not adequate if you are trying to juggle pets and children. You have to filter the family from the car to the stairs one by one. Coming out of the bottom gate is a blind bend. The owners have put up a mirror, but it can only see a little way as the road bends around the property fronts so visibility coming back to your car is not good. The house was a huge disappointment to us - as we were trying to escape home life due to a family bereavement. Holiday cottage did offer to come in and clean. It due to our personal circumstances we did not want to disturb the family further so opted to ride it out. Also please be aware this house has a 9am kick out (not the usual 10am - sometime midday - we were used to) and the cleaners (the irony) turned up at 9.05 wanting access to the house. I would not recommend this house as a holiday let, primarily for families or people with dogs, as I feel the access to it is extremely dangerous. It is a accident waiting to happen. However on a positive note - Looe as always was lovely. People friendly, views amazing, walks, food, weather helped to make the holiday away the from house all that we wanted. Thank you Looe! Hide

Fantastic location with the most incredible views. There was plenty of space for the 6 of us with everything we needed. The house is well equipped with plenty of glasses, crockery, pans etc.

Fabulous stay at Lindos and we felt we could have been in Greece with the sun filled decking area which catches the afternoon and evening sun. There are lots of steps up to the house but this means you get wonderful views of the river and youre high above the road. The house seems to have had a recent refurbishment and it is clean, modern and comRead morefortable, with a well equipped kitchen. Lovely room with balcony and en suite on the top floor. The property in its self was very nice. Access into the property is ok if your an experienced mountain climber, very steep flight of stairs. Which is not a welcoming sight or something to look forward to, leaving, returning to the property if you are in any form disabled, older, infirmed, unfit. Sadly this is not outlined in the promotion of this Read moreproperty. Misleading to say the least. Picture make it look like its on the flat. Due to this, as we are all late 60's early 70's we found ourselves staying in. We would not recommend this property unless they have had SAS training. Therefore we think it was not value for money and would not recommend. This will be the review we will be sharing. Leaking radiator in top bedroom. Hide

The house was very nice slightly out of town which was nice, lovely views. Well equipped but needs hair driers ! We enjoyed our time there.

A great, spacious property which is equipped to a high standard. Just need to be aware that there is currently a building site next door to the property Very close to the town of Looe but not an easy walk along the road from the property until you reach the safety of the footpath
