This 500-year-old Grade II-listed farmhouse sits on the North Cornwall coast, 1 mile from Holywell Bay Beach, with two acres of grounds and far-reaching views across rolling hills. Large groups and families will find both character and room to spread out, with living spaces built around stone walls and beamed ceilings, and grounds that stretch in every direction. Holywell Bay Beach is a wide stretch of sand popular with surfers, bodyboarders, and walkers, flanked by rolling dunes that rise to 60 feet – ideal for picnics with views along the coast. At low tide, discover the remains of an old Argentinian coaster which can be spotted just offshore, while the grotto-like Holywell Cave is well worth exploring for its calcium deposits. A stream running across the sand adds another dimension for younger visitors. The coastal path leads north to Crantock Beach (3.5 miles), a rewarding route along the clifftops.

The main living room has two grand sofas, a feature chair, exposed stone walls, and beamed ceilings, centred around a large fireplace with a gas-effect fire. A quieter second sitting room on the ground floor has a sofa and bookshelves. The kitchen has a wooden central island and stone wall detailing, and leads through to the dining room – a light-filled conservatory with a reclaimed table seating ten and doors that open directly to the garden. The indoor pool room houses a 10-by-5-metre heated swimming pool, a hot tub, and underfloor heating. A cinema projector and surround-sound system fill the space, and both can be used from the hot tub or poolside. On the ground floor, the fourth bedroom has a double bed and TV, with an en-suite shower room featuring a walk-in rainfall shower and WC that leads through to the pool room. The first-floor master bedroom has a super-king-size bed and a TV, with an en-suite bathroom featuring a sunken bath, overhead shower, heated towel rail, and WC. A second first-floor bedroom has a king bed, and the third has twin beds. The first-floor family bathroom has a bath, walk-in monsoon shower, heated towel rail, WC, and bidet.
