This first-floor seafront apartment looks out across the sandy shoreline of Porth Beach, a large west-facing bay on the North Cornwall coast sheltered by headlands on either side. Sitting between Newquay and Watergate Bay, the apartment is well suited to couples and small families looking for a beach holiday based around coastal exploration. The beach offers rock pools, caves, and streams to discover, with a wide sweep of sand. A narrow wooden footbridge leads across to Porth Island, a headland rich in history, where a blowhole sends rainbow sprays of water skyward at mid-tide – a dramatic spectacle worth the visit at any time of year. The coast path connects to Watergate Bay (1.5 miles) in one direction and the rolling cliffs of Mawgan Porth (4 miles) in the other, while Newquay (1.5 miles) and its range of beaches, shops, and restaurants are further along the coast.
