This apartment occupies a quiet position overlooking gardens, 150 metres from the sand at Watergate Bay on the North Cornwall coast. With a surf school on the beach offering lessons in surfing, kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, and kite surfing, the bay is a strong match for families with young children and watersports enthusiasts alike. The 2 miles of sand are exposed to incoming Atlantic swell, drawing surfers and kite surfers to the water throughout the year, and sea salt hangs in the air along the open shoreline. The coast path connects Watergate Bay to Newquay's seven bays in one direction and Mawgan Porth in the other, with both long rambles and shorter jaunts on offer. Surf competitions and music festivals run across the seasons, keeping the atmosphere at Watergate Bay spirited and sociable, while the wide sandy beach draws families, couples, and visitors of all kinds.
The open-plan living area is centred around two sofas facing a Smart TV with SkyTV and DVD player while patio doors open onto a Juliet balcony with views across the gardens below. A dining table with seating for six occupies one end of the room, leading through to the kitchen area beyond. In the master bedroom, a king-size bed sits at the centre of the room, with views out over the gardens through the window and a calm, restful feel to the space. The second bedroom is fitted with bunk beds and a pull-out truckle bed beneath – a room geared towards younger guests. Between the two bedrooms sits the bathroom, with a shower over the bath, a heated towel rail, and WC. A selection of books and board games is on hand for quieter days.
A secure storage cage in the basement provides a safe place for surf boards, wetsuits, and beach toys. The surf shower on site is shared with other residents in the development for rinsing off between sessions. Private parking is provided for one car.
