This three-bedroom coastal house stands directly on the Widemouth Bay shoreline in North Cornwall, part of a small development of six houses built with green technology and contemporary interiors. With the beach right beyond the garden gate, the house is well suited to families and groups drawn to surf and active coastal breaks. Widemouth Bay is a long, unspoilt sweep of sand backed by craggy cliffs, with a big-sky feel and an endless horizon. The bay has a relaxed feel, and lifeguard cover runs throughout the summer, making it popular with beginner and more experienced surfers alike. Coasteering, windsurfing, kitesurfing, bike hire, canoeing, kayaking, and archery are all on offer in the surrounding area. The coastal town of Bude, less than 3 miles away, is a popular destination and has shops, restaurants, and surf beaches.


This split-level house is arranged over three floors. The ground floor centres on an open-plan living area with a wood burner and TV, flowing through to a dining space framed by floor-to-ceiling windows and a patio door opening onto the terrace. The kitchen sits alongside, with views out to sea. Also on the ground floor, a bedroom with chalet-style bunk beds, a single above a small double, has a built-in wardrobe and its own en-suite bathroom with shower over the bath and a WC. Stairs lead up to the first-floor master bedroom, which has a king-size bed that can be arranged as a twin. A patio door opens onto a large balcony with panoramic sea views, and the en-suite shower room has a rainfall shower and a WC. Further stairs lead down to the lower ground floor, where the third bedroom has a zip-and-link bed that can also be set as a king-size or two singles, a built-in wardrobe, and floor-to-ceiling windows with a patio door onto the private terrace. Its en-suite shower room has a rainfall shower and WC. The property’s eco credentials include solar PV electricity, solar thermal water heating, grass roofs for insulation, air source heat pumps, and Triple A-rated appliances used where possible.
