This three-bedroom house sits on the shoreline at Widemouth Bay in North Cornwall, with the beach just beyond the shared lawn and garden gate. Part of a small development of six contemporary houses, it is well suited to active families and groups of friends looking for a beach and surf-focused coastal holiday. Widemouth Bay is a long, unspoilt stretch of sand flanked by craggy cliffs, with a wide-open horizon that seems to stretch on forever. Lifeguard cover through the summer season makes it a popular spot for both beginners and more seasoned surfers. The coastal town of Bude is less than 3 miles away, and the surrounding coastline is rich in adventure activities, such as coasteering, windsurfing, kitesurfing, kayaking, canoeing, bike hire, and even archery.


This split-level house is arranged over three floors. Its environmental credentials include solar PV electricity, solar thermal water heating, grass roofs for insulation, air source heat pumps, and Triple A-rated appliances used where possible. Stairs lead up to the first-floor master bedroom, which has a king-size zip-and-link bed that can be arranged as two singles, floor-to-ceiling windows, and a patio door opening onto a private balcony overlooking the bay. The en-suite shower room has a large rainfall shower and a WC. On the lower ground floor, the third bedroom also has a king-size zip-and-link bed, which can be a twin on request, a built-in wardrobe, and full-height windows with a patio door onto the private terrace with views over the lawns and out to sea. Its en-suite shower room features a large rainfall shower and a WC.


The private terrace on the lower ground floor is furnished with recliners and a firepit, looking out over the lawns and the sea. Fencing encloses the garden. A shared lawn, with other guests in the development, extends from the property towards the beach, accessed through a gateway and down six steps to the sand. The first-floor balcony off the master bedroom offers a further vantage point across the bay. Private parking is provided for two cars.
