This two-bedroom retreat overlooks Porth Beach on the North Cornwall coast, its upside-down layout designed to capture sweeping views across the sand and out to the headland beyond. Suited to families and explorers looking for a coastal holiday full of hands-on discovery, the shoreline just 100 metres way is threaded with rockpools, caves, and streams, while a broad sweep of sand stretches out for sandcastle building and beach games. Beachside eateries offer holiday favourites such as ice cream, and you can even grab a slice of pizza. A narrow wooden footbridge connects to Porth Island, a headland rich in history where, at mid tide, a blow hole shoots rainbow sprays of water skyward – a spectacle worth catching at any time of year. From the beach, the coast path leads south to Lusty Glaze Beach (0.5 miles)and north towards Watergate Bay (1.5 miles), with the rolling cliffs continuing on to Mawgan Porth (3.5 miles).


The property’s main living space is on the first floor, where you can make the most of those outstanding coastal views. The lounge area is furnished with a large three-seater sofa, a two-seater sofa bed, a Smart TV, and a DAB radio. Sliding patio doors open onto a balcony overlooking the ocean and countryside. There is a large oak table with seating for six, and beyond that is the compact yet convenient kitchen. On the ground floor, the master bedroom looks out over the garden and has a super-king-size zip-and-link bed, plus ample storage for holiday clothes. Its en-suite shower room has a walk-in shower. The second bedroom also has a super-king-size zip-and-link bed, and is served by the family bathroom, which has a shower over the bath. Both bedrooms can be made up as twins on request. On the ground floor there is a utility room housing a washing machine and tumble dryer.


The first-floor balcony looks out across Porth Beach and is the perfect spot for morning coffee. At ground level, the enclosed garden has a table and chairs for six for al fresco dining. A surf store at the rear provides storage for boards and beach gear. Off-street parking is provided for one car.
