This three-bedroom coastal apartment sits just metres away from Porth Beach, a large west-facing bay sheltered by headlands on either side, between Newquay and Watergate Bay. With rock pools, caves and streams alongside a wide sweep of sand, the setting is ideal for families and adventurers seeking an active beach holiday. A narrow wooden footbridge leads across to Porth Island (0.5 miles), where a dramatic blowhole shoots rainbow sprays of water at mid-tide – bring a camera to capture the spectacle. The coast path connects Porth to Lusty Glaze Beach (0.5 miles) in one direction, and Watergate Bay and the rolling cliffs of Mawgan Porth (both within 4 miles) in the other. Newquay is just over a mile away and is famous for its golden beaches, world-class surfing, and traditional seaside shops, eateries and attractions.


This split-level apartment has its main living space on the first floor, where a bright, open-plan sitting room with sea views flows into the kitchen and dining area. A large corner sofa seats six in front of the TV, and sliding doors open onto a private balcony fitted with a bistro table and two chairs. The kitchen features everything needed for a self-catered break, with a breakfast bar and five stools forming the dining space. On the ground floor, the master bedroom has a super-king-size bed and a TV for lazy mornings, plus patio doors opening onto a private decked area with a table and chairs. The family bathroom sits alongside, with a shower over the bath and a WC. A second bedroom, also with a super-king-size bed, and a third bedroom with twin beds complete the ground-floor sleeping arrangements. Back on the first floor, a separate shower room serves the upper level.


A private decked area off the master bedroom and a balcony on the first floor both provide outdoor seating for al fresco food and drinks. A seating area with a picnic bench and two wooden benches overlooks Porth Beach – this area is shared with other guests in the development, along with an outdoor shower. Surfboards and equipment can be stored on the rear patio. Designated parking is available for one car, with two additional guest parking spaces subject to availability.
