Ideal for families with older children and groups of friends, it is well placed for a surf holiday on Cornwall's north coast. Fistral Beach is renowned for its waves, with surf hire and lessons available on the sand. A coastal path around Pentire headland leads past Newquay's historic Huer's Hut and on towards the town's seven beaches includind the iconic Towan Beach. Behind the property, the Gannel – a turquoise river lined with greenery – flows down to Crantock Beach on the opposite bank, where crabbing, kayaking, and stand-up paddleboarding are on offer (12 miles away by car). Watergate Bay to the north, with its rolling surf, and Perranporth to the south, with its collection of shops, are both reachable by car for brilliant days out.

The first floor is given over to an open-plan living, kitchen, and dining space with doors opening onto a balcony with sea views over the headland. A large corner sofa seats eight around a Smart TV with Netflix, while the dining area has a table with seating for up to nine on chairs and a bench. The kitchen is set around a central island with bar stools, and a wrought iron staircase leads down to the garden. Views from here stretch over the Gannel and across to Crantock Beach. A second bedroom on this floor has a super-king-size zip-and-link bed that can be configured as two singles, a Juliet balcony, and an en-suite shower room with a walk-in rainfall shower and WC.
