To the south, Widemouth Bay Beach (1 mile) is popular with surfers and is lifeguarded at peak times; it also has plenty of rock pools to explore at its southern end. In summer everyone can have fun at the Monster Slip and Slide (3.5 miles). Further afield, there’s the Milky Way Adventure Park (17.5 miles) for a family day out, and the Roadford Activity Centre (21 miles), which offers water-based adventures such as kayaking and sailing.
