Situated in the peaceful village of Earl Sterndale, this cosy and picturesque bolthole is a perfect hideaway for two guests, ideally positioned for exploring a breathtaking part of the Peak District. This is a great base for hikers and nature spotters, with the Dragon’s Back walk leading to Parkhouse Hill and Chrome Hill (2 miles). Just to the north, the historic spa town of Buxton (5 miles) is home to a range of fantastic restaurants, pubs and independent shops, with attractions including Buxton Opera House, Poole’s Cavern and the tranquil Pavilion Gardens. Heading east, the sweet market town of Bakewell (9.5 miles) is famous for its delicious pudding. This stunning corner of Derbyshire is also home to stately homes including Chatsworth House (13.5 miles) and Haddon Hall (11 miles), with other notable landmarks including Lathkill Dale, Magpie Mine and Blake Mere Mermaid Pool, all within 7 miles.

Entering this bright, snug and cheery cottage, you will be greeted by the light and tastefully arranged open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, which offers a delightful spot for you both to relax in after an exhilarating day exploring the Peak District. The pretty, stylishly decorated lounge has soft seating and a Smart TV, and a circular dining table perfect for sharing a romantic meal. To one side, the beautifully arranged kitchen is fully equipped, with plenty of storage and workspace. Heading through, you will also find a soothing, elegantly tiled shower room and a cosy bedroom with wooden beams and a lovely double bed.

Going outside, a charming patio has ample outdoor seating, offering a quiet spot for a morning coffee and for taking in the beautiful rural views. Private parking is available for two cars. An external utility room has a washing machine and tumble dryer, alongside an array of useful local information leaflets, and is shared with the three other properties on site.

A beautiful, well equipped holiday cottage with stunning views. A great base for walking and visiting quaint towns. Just perfect, we look forward to returning.
