A characterful retreat for four guests, this fresh and light-filled residence is elegantly presented and tastefully furnished throughout, making it a fabulous hideaway for couples and smaller families exploring a glorious part of Gloucestershire. Guests are welcome to tour the family-owned vineyard, which dates back to 2007 and is perfectly situated for exploring the wider wooded valley, which includes the remains of a landscape park with lakes and a restored boathouse. The quaint town of Nailsworth (2 miles) is nearby, offering a wealth of fantastic restaurants, artisan bakeries, and independent shops. To the north, the historic town of Stroud (3.5 miles) is known for its eye-catching architecture, vintage boutiques, and lively farmers’ market. Walkers can follow the Stroudwater Canal or join the Cotswold Way, with local landmarks and attractions including Stratford Park, Rodmarton Manor, and the Devil’s Chimney, all within 15 miles.

Before stepping into this beautiful property, take a moment to appreciate its position surrounded by peaceful woodland, with far-reaching views of the vineyards and valleys beyond. Head inside, hang coats in the handy utility room, and move through to the sleek and light-filled kitchen/diner. At the far end of the room, the well-appointed kitchen features all the equipment and space required, including a breakfast island, for cooking up holiday feasts. Enjoy each meal at the wooden dining table nearby or alfresco out in the garden. Completing the kitchen/diner is a restful corner with soft seating, a Smart TV, and a roaring wood burner. Steps lead up into a generous hall with high ceilings and wooden beams, then through to the scenic main lounge, offering a bright space with floor-to-ceiling windows framing those magical vineyard views. Relax in here as you flick through the Smart TV, bask in the glow of another wood burner, or simply savour the verdant vistas. Completing this floor is a charming double bedroom and a refreshing family bathroom with a bath and a walk-in shower. Upstairs awaits the second bedroom, a super-king-size room with fantastic views and an en-suite bathroom. Both bedrooms offer zip-and-link beds that can convert to twins on request, providing flexibility for families.

Head out through the bi-fold doors and make full use of the generous garden. This enclosed space features a large lawn and a furnished patio, perfect for morning coffees and al fresco meals. Beyond the private garden, you’re invited to walk around the surrounding vineyard – with opportunities for tours and tasting sessions.
