Gather the whole group together at this exquisite large escape with a separate garden apartment, where boutique-hotel styling meets soaring oak beams in the private grounds of Baddesley Manor – just 3 miles from the market town of Romsey. Sleeping 11 people across five bedrooms, it’s ideal for large families, corporate groups, multi-generational parties or groups of friends in search of a chic countryside retreat to call home while exploring the Test Valley and the New Forest together. Spend a morning discovering the magnificent Romsey Abbey (5 miles), or head off to Sir Harold Hillier Gardens (4 miles) to wander through the blooms. Alternatively, treat the kids to a few fun hours at Peppa Pig World at Paultons Park (6 miles), or head to the New Forest National Park (8 miles) to visit the famous wild ponies.
Step inside the main house and you’ll find a spectacular open-plan living space where exposed oak trusses soar to a vaulted ceiling and full-height glazed doors open out into the garden. Cook up a feast in the bespoke kitchen and share a stylish dinner together at the dining table. Afterwards, sink into a sofa by the wood burner, or head to the snug for movie night. A few steps lead to the family wing, where a double and a triple bedroom share a family bathroom with a roll-top bath and separate shower. Upstairs, two further double bedrooms (one with an en-suite bathroom with a bath and shower, and one with an en-suite shower room) complete the main property’s layout. The building opposite houses the gym and executive office on the ground floor, with a private staircase providing access to the apartment above. Each area has its own separate entrance and access.
The grounds are a real showstopper, with an outdoor kitchen with a gas BBQ and pizza oven, and a pergola dining area overlooking a tranquil pond. The pond area has a locked gated entrance and children should be supervised at all times when in this area. After dinner, treat yourself to a dip in the hot tub or take a seat by the fire pit. In the morning, set off to the shared tennis courts (available by arrangement), or let the kids run wild at the climbing frame or on the zipline.
