Skipton Castle Woods walk (6.5 miles) is incredibly popular, with majestic trees and pretty views across the Leeds-Liverpool Canal. Catch the steam train from Embsay (6.5 miles) to Bolton Abbey and discover its ruins of a 12th-century monastery, ancient woodlands and a 30,000-acre estate. Or visit the village of Grassington (14.5 miles), the filming location for the show, All Creatures Great and Small.
As you enter the cottage, you are welcomed into the characterful and quaint living room/diner, which features cosy furniture, a wood burner, a Smart TV, and original old-world beams. The dining table is situated at the rear of the room and easily seats four guests. The kitchen is compact but superbly appointed, with built-in appliances and generous counter space to make self-catering as fuss-free as possible. The shower room with WC is also on this floor. Head upstairs to reach the two charming bedrooms. The generous double bedroom with storage and characterful exposed stone, and a stylish twin bedroom.
Outside is a lovely enclosed garden with a neat patio and seating. It’s the perfect place for your morning coffee whilst gazing upon the captivating views. To the rear of the property is a sizeable enclosed garden with a BBQ and more glorious vistas. The parking is private and holds one car, with additional parking in the field available upon request, and there’s handy bike storage in the outhouse.
