Enjoy it as a base from which to get out and about on this beautiful island. Bring your hiking boots and follow a choice of scenic trails, including the Anglesey Coastal Path. Potter about in Beaumaris itself, shopping for local produce and taking time out to see the famously unfinished fortress. Take a boat trip out to see if you can spot dolphins, porpoises, or seals. Make a trip over the bridge to Conwy (22.5 miles), with its impressive castle. Explore the island’s magical beaches; venture 8 miles to Traeth Coch, also known as Red Wharf Bay, with its beautiful sands.
