A lovely cottage in a great area with fantastic facilities. A very comfy pair of sofas and great beds. The location is nice and quiet even when Whitby itself is very busy. The abbey and all of the other great sights that Whitby has to offer are all within walking distance. The kids loved their little room tucked up in the attic and the viewRead mores of the marina from the living room and main bedroom were great. Powerful shower. Welcome basket was great thank you so much. The steps up to the cottage are a little steep so be mindful of that - there's not too much noise from the middle earth tavern next door even though the outside seating was busy due to the great weather. We struggled to park on church street or the church street car park and there are double yellow lines (and traffic wardens patrolling) so we had to wheel the luggage from the marina car park. Just be mindful of that (and the steps) if you're staying here. Hide

The cottage was clean, homely, comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. The welcome book was really helpful and we enjoyed our welcome pack goodies. The property is located outside of the busy streets and so it was nice and quiet whilst only being a five minute walk or so to the shops, restaurants and other things that Whitby has to Read moreoffer. There is a lot of steps to get up to the property and inside the property but that just meant we left fitter than when we arrived, the views from the cottage were definitely worth it. Not always easy to park on the road by the cottage but on the two days we couldn't park we found the car parks reasonably priced for long stay and were free overnight from 6pm to 9am, the host did provide permits but the permit area is a little further away so decided to use the car park overnight. I would use this cottage again when returning to Whitby. Hide

Stunning place. The pictures on the website do not do justice to how stunning and spacious the property is. Extremely comfortable, has everything thats needed if not more. The basket with treats left for our arrival was such a lovely touch. Even our dog had a gift from the owners dog Ella. Loved the fact that the bowls were also laid out for oRead moreur dog. The steps were not an issue at all. Parking was a nightmare. Managed to secure a spot at the car park further down the road, paid for 4 days through the app and did not move the car, we had to walk everywhere. We loved the Magpie cafe for our breakfast, perfect for any dog lover! Hide

This property is in a convenient location for getting around Whitby. Parking is difficult on the road and so we used a car park and walked back. The stairs are steep and there are a lot of them. There are about 25 steps up from the road and then a further 10 or so up to the house. The house has a lot of amenities, like tvs in each room. ThRead moreere is a very good shower but only 1 bathroom. We were unsure about the bins and left the rubbish out but it was not collected. I would not describe this as luxury but it was a good base.
