Braunton itself (0.5 miles) has a fantastic selection of independent shops, cafes, pubs and eateries, all wrapped up in a friendly seaside atmosphere. Beach lovers will be spoilt for choice, with the golden sands of Saunton Sands only 3.5 miles away, where surfing, swimming and water sports are popular throughout the year. Golf enthusiasts can enjoy a round at Saunton Golf Club (3 miles), home to two renowned championship courses. Step inside to a welcoming hallway leading into a cosy and characterful lounge/diner. Original oak beams and a traditional inglenook fireplace create a wonderfully homely setting, while the wood burner keeps you all cosy during the colder months. You’re in luck if you’re musical – there’s also a piano you are welcome to play. Or you can watch the Smart TV or a DVD. The well-equipped kitchen has elegant wooden units and a range cooker to inspire your inner chef, along with an additional table for perching with breakfast and snacks. There’s also a handy ground-floor WC. The sleeping quarters are upstairs – you’ll have a king-size bedroom, a double and a single. Completing the interior is a family bathroom with a shower over the bath and WC.
Outside, you can make the most of the fresh air on the pretty stone courtyard, complete with outdoor furniture. Parking is available on the street outside.
