Southwold Pier Area - It is often said that nothing changes in Southwold. However, the much-acclaimed pier was rebuilt in 2001 and was the first to be constructed in England in over fifty years. It now fits in well with the painted beach huts, promenade and colourful flowerbeds. There is a shop, cafes and an alternative amusement arcade there. The selection of properties' hereabouts makes it an ideal location to stay in Southwold if you require quiet accommodation that is also close to the beach, town centre and the many footpaths across the marshes leading you to the less explored areas of the town.

Had a lovely stay at Seadogs. House was bright, clean and comfortable. 5 mins from the beach, off street parking. Excellent location for long walks, dogs allowed on North beach and dunes, lovely town with lots of shops.

A warm, well equipped house in good location. Dog proof garden and parking real assets. Accurately described as suitable for children or smaller adults as 2 of the bedrooms are very small.

Although the house has everything you need, its tired. The twin rooms are tiny and the master bedroom could do with a king size bed rather than a double. I wouldnt recommend and I think its far too expensive

Told that heating was not working on to the cottage, nobody came to fix it so had to sort it out ourself! Then hot water and fridge stopped working and again had to search for distribution box (in a strange place) and fix it ourselves. After many phone calls were told someone would come and check heating and hot water next morning but nobody turneRead mored up. For the cost of the place did not need the amount of hassle. Response from holidaycottages.co.uk: Thank you for your review. Weve spoken to the owner and the issue has now been resolved. Nice cottage but deceived by its misleading description. Yes, it may well be a detached building.as advertised and shown with photo.but accommodation is just half of the building. Effectively making it a semi detachedto which we were not informed. Badly mislead!! Thank you for your review. The description has now been updated.

Great location and lots of room, comfy furniture in the lounge, very clean and tidy. We found the double bed uncomfortable, could have done with some essentials in the kitchen, teabags, salt, oil etc just to get us by, or maybe pop in the description that there is nothing so people can bring or buy before they come in. We assumed there would be soRead moreme basics as in previous lets we have stayed in over the years.
