Back on dry land, follow the John Muir Way or hike to North Berwick Law, an ancient volcanic hill, with other local attractions including the National Museum of Flight, Hailes Castle, Dirleton Castle and Gardens, and Preston Mill and Phantassie Doocot, all within 6 miles.

Heading upstairs you will find a refreshing shower room and the three remaining bedrooms, all with plush king-size beds – one with an en-suite shower room, while the other two can be made up as twin rooms on request when booking.
