Set in the heart of Robin Hood's Bay, this stone-built cottage is an ideal base for friends and family exploring one of the Yorkshire coast’s most distinctive villages. The old village is a pleasure to discover, with winding cobbled streets, stone cottages and hidden alleyways. Spend your days browsing independent shops, enjoying fresh seafood in local restaurants, or relaxing in one of the village’s pubs. At low tide, the beach reveals golden sands, rock pools and the chance to hunt for fossils in the cliffs. Walkers will also be in their element, with both the Cleveland Way and Coast to Coast Walk passing through the village. Visit Whitby (5 miles), famous as the home of Dracula, or head into the North York Moors to explore villages, scenic drives, and woodland trails through Broxa Forest (10 miles) and Dalby Forest (20 miles).
Inside, the cottage opens into a fitted kitchen with integrated appliances, including an electric AGA, fridge/freezer and dishwasher, making it easy to prepare meals after days spent on the beach. From here, the open-plan lounge and dining area becomes the social heart of the home, bringing everyone together for meals, conversation and quiet evenings. A wood burner sits at the centre of the lounge, adding extra comfort when the coastal breeze rolls in. Sleeping arrangements are set across two double bedrooms and a nautical-themed twin room. Each bedroom has been styled to create a calm retreat, supported by three bath and shower rooms throughout the property. One of the double bedrooms includes a freestanding bath by the window for a soak with far-reaching views.
Outside, the front patio looks across sea views, making it an ideal spot for a morning coffee or a quiet moment in the coastal air. A parking permit is included for a nearby car park, and guests can pull up outside the property for unloading on arrival.
