Gather your group of six guests for a break at this charming cottage in Forest Row. This Sussex village is on the edge of Ashdown Forest (3.5 miles), with its magical walking trails and plenty of activities to get stuck into. Follow woodland trails linked to A. A. Milne's Winnie-the-Pooh stories, then hunt out Poohsticks Bridge and the Enchanted Place. Hartfield, home to Pooh Corner, is 4.5 miles away and also boasts a shop dedicated to Christopher Robin and friends. Keen golfers can book a round at Royal Ashdown Forest Golf Club (1 mile) while Hever Castle, the birthplace of Anne Boleyn, comes highly recommended for any history enthusiast. Wander the stately home and gardens of Penshurst Place (12 miles), before driving over to Royal Tunbridge Wells (13 miles) for chic shopping boutiques and high-quality dining.
