Stay at this lovely property with gorgeous views of the surrounding landscapes, ideal for families and friends seeking a restful retreat from which to explore the Isle of Skye. Based in the far south of the island, the Sleat Peninsula is easily accessed by hopping on the 30-minute ferry from Mallaig, or experiencing the thrilling bridge to Skye from Kyle of lochalsh, only 20 miles from Ardvasar and it’s neighbour, Armadale, less than a mile away. Here, you can discover local history at the Armadale Castle and Museum and keep an eye out for the orcas that occasionally come into the Sound. Discover the Point of Sleat and the beautiful beach at Rubha Shlèite (Sandy Beach) 5.5 miles away, which is perfect for walks. Take the hike out to the lighthouse and enjoy magnificent views out to the Small Isles of Rum, Canna and Eigg, or walk through the beautiful natural forests at Leitir Fura, 10.5 miles away. Alternatively, Torabhaig Distillery is only 4.5 miles away.

Enter this inviting traditional house with its white-washed stone exterior, and you’ll find yourself in an interior full of elegant decor and furnishings, along with all the contemporary creature comforts you need for an unforgettable stay. There is a small entrance hallway before you move through to a lounge on your left and a study and recreational room on your right. The lounge is stylishly furnished with plush seating for unwinding after a day of adventures, a wood burner to keep things cosy and a Smart TV, so you can retire here in the evening with a drink and catch up on your favourite box set. The study is a lovely spot for reading or chatting over a lazy afternoon tea. Straight ahead, down the hallway, is the spacious kitchen/dining area, an impressive social space. The chic kitchen has all the appliances necessary to cook up a storm during your stay. There is a kitchen island with seating for informal drinks and keeping things social during meal preparation. Bifold doors flood the dining area with natural light, inviting unhurried meals at the picnic-style table, with a bench on one side and seats on the other. Stay on after dinner to play board games or plan your next day’s activities. There is an additional stable door exit at the side onto the patio. Heading back to the hallway, take the stairs that go up one flight, then split to the right, where you will find the bunk room and the twin bedroom with two single beds, along with the family bathroom. To the left, go up another few steps to reach the two other bedrooms: one ensuite king-size with a shower and WC, and one king-size.

Head outside to the patio area, complete with outdoor furniture and a BBQ, making this the ideal spot for dining alfresco or enjoying a morning coffee while taking in the wonderful views across to the Knoydart peninsula and lights of Mallaig. There is private parking for three cars.
