Located in verdant countryside between the villages of Tywyn and Aberdyfi, this fabulous abode makes a fine choice for family or friends. The mountains meet magnificent Cardigan Bay at Tywyn. With a long sandy beach, traditional promenade and relaxed pace of life, the town is home to one of the oldest cinemas in the UK, and has a railway station with direct links to Machynlleth (11.5 miles), where you’ll find MOMA Wales – a showcase for Welsh art and crafts. Aberdyfi (3.5 miles) has galleries and shops to satisfy all appetites, while its shoreline offers miles of sand and dunes to explore. The historic Talyllyn Railway operates a narrow-gauge steam service into the Cambrian Mountains, the 7-mile journey passing through ancient meadows and woodlands within sight of Cadair Idris. Enjoy equally stunning scenery as you walk the Wales Coast Path; Fairbourne, the Mawddach Estuary and Barmouth start 12 miles away.
Driveway parking means you can unpack and settle in at your own pace – hang your coats in the hall, then step into a light-filled lounge where comfortable seating is arranged before a Smart TV and a wood burner-effect electric fire. Across the hall, the kitchen/diner is a second social hub, with a sofa at one end, a central dining suite, and chic cabinets and countertops. A TV in this room adds entertainment value, while a utility/boot room houses the washing machine. Head along the hall to find two shower rooms and, as the day-end approaches, a choice of three restful bedrooms – a king-size, a double and a twin room.
Unwind in the front garden, enjoying its mature planting and views across the surrounding countryside towards the sea. Light the BBQ and dine alfresco at the circular bench – the outside space here is lovely from sunrise to sunset. Alternatively, explore the chalet park to find wildlife walks that lead to a pond with beautiful views. There is private parking for three cars and space to store bikes.
