An excellent base for a coastal family break, this welcoming lodge puts Norfolk’s beaches, wildlife and waterways within easy reach. Spend a day beside the sea in Great Yarmouth (6 miles), where arcades, golden beaches and ice cream parlours keep everybody entertained. For a slower pace, head to Caister-on-Sea (5 miles) or Gorleston-on-Sea (8 miles), both offering quieter stretches of shoreline. Closer still, the Norfolk Broads begin around 2 miles away, opening up peaceful rivers, boat trips and plenty of chances to spot kingfishers or the local otters. Nature-loving families can also look for seals at Horsey Beach (15 miles), with winter a particularly rewarding time to visit. Walkers and birdwatchers will enjoy Berney Arms Nature Reserve, just 4 miles from the lodge.
Step inside this stylish and cosy hideaway, where you'll find a studio-style lounge/kitchenette/diner/bedroom. Relax on the sofa in front of the Smart TV and flick the kettle on to make a cuppa. Prepare simple yet sufficient meals in the kitchenette, which has an electric hob, a fridge, and a combi microwave. Don the two barstools at the breakfast bar and enjoy an intimate dinner for two. When you’re ready to turn in, retreat to the king-size bed and drift off with dreams of adventures tomorrow. Tucked away at the back of the pod are a set of bunk beds for youngsters to sleep. Completing the pod is the wet room with a shower and WC, perfect for getting ready for the day ahead.
Outside, you will discover a private decking area with a picnic bench, a BBQ and seating for view admiration. It's a lovely spot to read your book or enjoy a family meal together. There is private parking for two cars.
