You’ll feel a far away from it all yet within reach of all you’ll need at this wonderful retreat. Close to Loch Etive and popular Glen Coe, this property sits within an ancient estate that’s home to one of Scotland’s oldest now-ruined castles: Dunstaffnage Castle and Chapel. Drive south to Oban, the Seafood Capital of Scotland, for a fine choice of shops, eateries and galleries plus – for the full taste of local life – a town-centre distillery. Ferries connect Oban to nearby islands including Mull, home of the famous Tobermory Distillery. Stroll along Oban promenade to see the ruins of Dunollie Castle and stunning views of Kerrera. Catch a ferry across and the car-free isle is a walker's paradise stretching 7 miles end-to-end, and it has an excellent Tea Garden serving home-cooked fare to fuel your adventures.

With far-reaching views, this rural retreat is a place where natural beauty enhances everyday living. Step into the small hallway then head straight into the kitchen, a chic space where you can enjoy gorgeous views of the grounds as you prepare tasty home-cooked meals. The living/dining room is to the right of the hallway and has triple-aspect windows that frame more verdant scenery while you unwind. Stretch out on the inviting sofa and stream your favourite movies on the Smart TV; for added after-dark ambience light the wonderful wood burner. When it's time to retire for the night, a staircase leads up from the Hallway to a comfortable king-size bedroom and adjacent is a convenient dressing room with soft seating. Both of these rooms and the first floor bathroom have Velux-style windows for a lovely sense of privacy.

Guests are free to stroll around the estate; there’s a seating area in the grounds just beside the cottage so you can fully appreciate the gorgeous greenery and the sense of peace that prevails.
