The surrounding area has a wealth of historic landmarks and popular attractions, including Cadair Berwyn, Sycharth (The ancestral home of Owain Glyndwr), Powis Castle and Garden, Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, Chirk Castle, Lake Vyrnwy and Pistyll Rhaeadr, one of the UK’s tallest waterfalls, all within 17 miles. Close to Snowdonia national park and only a short drive from some of Wales's best beaches. Just across the border, the historic market town of Oswestry (7 miles) is home to the Oswestry Old Racecourse Common Heritage Site, the Old Oswestry Hill Fort and the Park Hall Farm Countryside Experience.
