Wake up and set off on a 2-mile hike through the estate to Loch Iorsa for a picnic, or take a stroll along the beaches at Dougarie, just a stone throw away from the Farmhouse. Visit Machrie’s Neolithic stone circle, or tee-off for a round of golf. Or head to the King’s Caves (5.5 miles) to see the ancient carvings of serpents, deer and horses on the walls. Further afield, make a beeline for the main town of Brodick (11 miles) to explore its castle and browse the shops, restaurants and pubs. For whisky-tasting, Lochranza Distillery (12.5 miles) or Lagg Distillery (13 miles) are hard to beat.
Step inside this detached hideaway and to the left of the hallway you’ll find the living room – a large, stylish space with plenty of natural sunlight, a welcoming wood burner and gorgeous views. The living room also offers access to the farmhouse’s bunk room. To the left of the entrance boot room there’s a handy shower room. Further down the hall there’s an elegant dining room, and a stylish galley kitchen to your left. Head upstairs and a smart central hallway leads you to four fabulous bedrooms – one super-king-size and one twin, as well as two flexible bedrooms that can be arranged as either super-king-size rooms or twins.
Step out into the enclosed garden, fire up the charcoal BBQ and share a fun al fresco dinner at the picnic benches overlooking Kilbrannan Sound. Private parking is available for five cars.
