Lovely warm, draft free, everything new and comfortable cottage. From the moment you walk in, you are greeted by an interior design to lift the spirits, with quality furnishings, throws and equipment. Brand new kitchen with dishwasher/washing machine/fridge/oven/hob and chest freezer, under the stairs. Lots of work space and utensils and a lovelyRead more starter pack for the equipment and milk and some food. Dog biscuits and a water bowl, were provided. Two comfy double bedrooms on the first and 2nd floor, good towels and bedding. No shortage of hot water, space and excellent pressure, with a bath and separate shower, make the bathroom a joy. Stairs have hand rails and are modern, carpeted and not too steep, for 2 seniors, with arthritis. The cottage was very quiet with barely any road noise, even at the weekend and slightly set back from the road, with a pavement outside the front door. Whilst you can park to unload outside or where ever you can get in on the main road. Off road, excellent allocated parking, is down the unlit lane, adjacent to the church. Keep going past the Hollyhocks and past the end of the church. Turn on the LHS, into what looks like a village hall car park, next to the churchyard. Walk a little further on down the lane, to a lovely open park space with a community orchard and seating. Perfect, if you have a dog or children, that need to let off steam. As there is no garden. So many place to visit locally from a variety of NT properties and open spaces, to several vintage railways running steam/diesel trains and the railway carriage museum, at Keighley. Oakworth is the station where the "Railway children" was filmed and Cliff castle Museum in Keighley, is an eclectic mix of natural history, huge well labelled rock collection, rare malakite fireplace and amazing plasterwork celings and more. Plus an aviary with guinea pigs and park to run in, with parking and cafe. RHS Harlow Carr at Harrogate approx 45 mins away and busy pub with lots of outside tables and local shop, only minutes away. Turn R from the cottage and follow the road round. Still local, but by car, are a Tesco Express and B and M, for the things you forgot. We were only the 2nd visitors and had a wonderful week. So thoroughly recommend this little gem, the owners have worked so hard on, to allow you to share. In summer or winter, as there is even a log fire. I'd give this property 5 stars and we've been to quite a lot over the years. July 26. Hide
