Situated on the edge of Wooler, this beautiful family home is perfect for a group of five friends or a family wishing to escape the hustle and bustle and enjoy a gentle break in this popular town, close to the Cheviot Hills and Northumberland National Park. Pick up groceries, or grab a bite to eat in Wooler (0.3 miles), or take one of the many walking and cycling routes from here. If you like all things Halloween, visit ‘Britain’s Most Haunted Castle’, Chillingham Castle, for ghost tours (6 miles), and for geology buffs, the dramatic St Cuthbert’s Cave, which is managed by the National Trust (8.5 miles). Spend a day at fabulous Ford and Etal and take a steam train ride. All this and the stunning Northumberland coastline is within easy reach, too, with Budle Bay, 13 miles away, and Bamburgh, 15 miles away.

This charming home is bright and airy throughout and has been thoughtfully decorated and designed to highlight various period features. Cook up a storm and enjoy eating in the light and bright kitchen/diner, which has stunning picture windows framing the views out to the garden. At the back of the property is a fantastic, large, enclosed garden with a gazebo and outdoor dining furniture. Mostly laid to lawn and lined with mature shrubs, this is a pleasant space to dine alfresco and to sit back and soak up the sun. Private parking is available for up to four cars.

Really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful house- the garden is gorgeous, and we had great weather to enjoy it. The house is beautiful, clean, beds are comfortable and we had everything we could have wanted. We would definitely return!
