Alternatively, pull on your hiking boots, walk from the door, and climb Wild Boar Fell, or Green Bell, part of the Howgill Fells. At the top, you’ll be rewarded with views over the Lakeland fells and Yorkshire’s Three Peaks.

A further flight of stairs leads you up to the second super-king-size bedroom, which is tucked into the apex of the property and offers lovely views towards Wild Boar Fell.
