Surround yourself in the tranquillity of the glens at this idyllic farmhouse. It sits on a sheep and cattle farm with native breed Longhorn cows. Produce from the farm is available to guests, including the grass-fed beef, cider grown and made on-farm, and vegetables grown within view of your window. 2.5 miles from the magnificent Loch of Lintrathen – just 9 miles outside Kirriemuir and 13 miles from Blairgowrie, the property sleeps six people over three bedrooms. It is ideal for families or groups of friends in search of a dreamy hideaway to call home while they discover ‘The Gateway to the Glens’ together. Wake up and head off to the Loch of Lintrathen (2.5 miles) to try your hand at paddleboarding or boat fishing, or make your way to the awe-inspiring waterfall at Reekie Linn (2.5) – one of the most spectacular in Scotland. Learn all about the life of the writer J.M. Barrie in Kirriemuir (9 miles), where you can visit the house where the Peter Pan-creator was born. Further afield, grab your skis and head off to the Glenshee Ski Centre (25 miles) to hit the slopes, or head to the coast and the fishing villages of Arbroath, Montrose and other spectacular beaches. There are endless scenic walks to enjoy from testing munros to leisurely meanders, and you don’t even have to get in your car with lots of local walks right from the doorstep too.

Step inside this 19th-century farmhouse and store all your outdoor gear in the hall. First, you’ll find an open-plan kitchen/diner – a traditional space designed with socialising in mind. There’s a wonderful conservatory that offers serene garden views. It also has a Smart TV, which is ideal if the kids want to have their own space to socialise in. The pretty lounge has a welcoming wood burner – and with a Smart TV, plenty of games, and a Sonos sound system, it’s the ideal place to share a fun evening. A stylish bathroom with a bath and a shower completes the ground-floor layout. Head upstairs and you’ll find a lovely king-size bedroom, a double, and a handy twin. A family bathroom with a hand-held shower over the bath completes the layout.

Outside, you’ll find a lovely wrap-around garden with seating areas. The pretty burn trickles down through the edge of the garden and the whole guest area is secluded by trees and woodlands.
