Property code: OC-C42579

A beautiful retreat in an excellent position at the heart of the attractive port of Padstow, this delightful cottage is perfect for couples and small families. Sleeping four guests, the two-bedroom retreat is just 500 metres from the harbour and in an excellent location for the seafood eateries the town is known for. Book a wildlife coastal cruise from the harbour in the hope of spotting seals and dolphins. Take the ferry over to fashionable Rock to dine out or spend time on the beach. St George’s Cove, on the Padstow side of the Camel Estuary, is popular for surfing and kayaking. For swimming and snorkelling, try the clear waters of Trevone Bay, 2 miles away, or Harlyn Bay, 2.5 miles away. Keen walkers and cyclists might like to follow a section of the Camel Trail during their stay. This runs for 18.5 miles from Padstow to Wenfordbridge.

Enter the cottage via the covered porch, where you can unlace your boots or slip off your shoes. Make yourselves comfortable in the welcoming lounge/diner, where there is plenty of room to unwind on the stylish, comfortable seating. Pick up the remote control to search for a good film on the Smart TV. Open the French doors to the courtyard on bright summer days to bring in the fresh sea air. A pretty table in here is a lovely spot for sitting with a magazine and cuppa. Head through to the kitchen where you’ll discover everything you need to cater for yourselves using your own ingredients throughout your break. Warm the freshly baked Cornish pasties you have bought in the oven or put the kettle on to have a cup of tea and a scone. A handy downstairs WC completes the ground floor. When you are ready to turn in for the night after each busy day, climb the stairs to the first floor of the cottage. Here you have two lovely bedrooms, a double with glimpses of the sea and a twin with French doors to a Juliet balcony. The chic family bathroom is also at this level.

Enjoy the sunshine from either the front or back patio, depending on the time of day. Dine outside on occasion or enjoy a cold drink out in the fresh air as you read a few pages of your book. This cottage comes with private permit parking for one car. Please note there is a small flight of steps from the parking space to the property.

We enjoyed an excellent week on the cottage , it was easy to find and extremely useful having the parking space. The cleanliness and facilities within the cottage were excellent , most items/furniture appeared new or had been extremely well looked after . Loved the books and games in the lounge area and a nice touch with chews for our dog on arrivaRead morel. The position is outstanding with a 5 minute walk down to the harbour. I enjoyed my morning coffee sat on the outside patio area reading my book and at the end of the day I still preferred this position although there is a small back patio available. We would love to revisit and stay in the same property next year , great position and cleanliness first class ! Hide
