This beautiful cottage is set in a quiet, elevated position, within 500 metres of stunning Dartmouth Harbour. Cobbled streets lead to an abundance of independent shops and eateries from fine dining to fresh fish and chips. There are plenty of shops and galleries to peruse once your belly is full, and if the kids need entertainment, you can take them to Pennywell Farm (17.5 miles) for some piggy cuddles or to the South Devon Maize Maze (13 miles). Experience some heritage and hop on the Dartmouth Steam Railway to Paignton (9 miles) from Kingswear (1.5 miles). You can get to Kingswear via the Dartmouth Ferry over the River Dart, but if you prefer to keep your feet on dry land, take a stroll along the promenade from Dartmouth Castle (1 mile). There are several secluded coves just beyond the castle (Sugary Cove, Deadman’s Cove and Ladies Cove are all within 1.5 miles) and several larger beaches just a short drive away, such as Blackpool Sands (3.5 miles) and Slapton Sands (7 miles). Coastal walks, water sports, golf adventure parks, historic houses and Dartmoor National Park make this the perfect holiday destination.

This stunning light and airy cottage is situated minutes from the centre of Dartmouth. It’s the perfect base to explore everything Devon has to offer from picturesque countryside to beautiful coastlines. Step through the front door and you will be immediately welcomed into the beautiful dual-aspect open-plan lounge/kitchen/dining room which allows plenty of light to flood the social space. This area blends modern with traditional beautifully, with contemporary copper lighting illuminating the wooden touches that are found throughout. Settle down on the comfortable L-shaped sofa, turn on the flame-effect fireplace and cosy up on a cold evening watching your favourite programme on the Smart TV. Alternatively, grab your book, sink into the reading nook by the window and get lost in a story. Looking around, you’ll notice lots of nautical touches which honour your harbourside location. The kitchen is well equipped with all the mod-cons you’ll require to whip up sensational meals for six and there is plenty of worktop space and storage for all your needs. The cute dining area seats everyone on chairs and cushioned benches and is perfect for a family meal or for planning your daily activities. Head up the switchback wooden staircase to the first floor, where you will find three bedrooms. There are two beautifully decorated doubles, both with narrow window sitting spots and storage for your belongings. For the children, there’s a cosy bunk bedroom with cabin-style beds that are sure to provide some excitement come bedtime. Completing the first floor is the contemporary shower room with a walk-in shower with a rainfall shower head, and a WC. The nautical theme continues in here and there is a skylight as well as a regular window providing lots of Devon light.

This property doesn’t have any dedicated outdoor space but there are plenty of parks and beaches for you to visit. As previously mentioned, there are pretty coves 1.5 miles away and the Crosby Meadow hiking area is close by too (just over 100 metres away). Walk to the harbour and spend time by the bandstand and the Victorian Jubilee Fountain or stroll a little further to the Dartmouth Community Orchard or Coronation Park (both 0.5 miles) and enjoy the views of the river.

An amazing cosy, snug, warm, and beautifully renovated cottage. Spotlessly clean, we had everything we needed and more. Very well equipped, plenty of kitchen equipment, quality towels and linen. We just got back from a wonderful break in Dartmouth. The home was lovely, very clean and cosy and a short walk to the town and harbour downhill. On the way up from the town there are two 33% angle roads to walk up. All in all a lovely cottage and Dartmouth as always is beautiful

The cottage itself and the equipment/facilities were good. However unfortunately we had to cut our holiday short due to an infestation of flys in the cottage. Despite efforts to remove them, they kept coming back and multiplying and made our stay quite unpleasant as we were unable to cook and make the most of the time in the cottage. Lovely cottage. Quite compact but very tastefully decorated. The location was perfect , literally a few minutes walk into Dartmouth itself. Be aware though, the walk uphill coming back is very steep. Parking was ok but pot luck whether you could park right outside the property. We always found a space close by though. One particular thing to mentioRead moren was the shower. It was superb. You had the choice of the massive rain shower or handheld. The water pressure was amazing. We had a fantastic week. Hide

Really pretty house up a very steep hill so we earned our fish & chip suppers! A little bit of extra storage upstairs would have been great but we really loved the house, cozy & warm and we just love Dartmouth!
