Wonderful position right on the beach at Kinghorn with views across the Forth from North Berwick and the Bass Rock in the East to Edinburgh in the west. There's always something to see looking out of the window and the owner has even provided binoculars to observe wildlife and shipping. We were unexpectedly without a car for our week, but the 5 minRead more walk from the station was a real bonus, enabling us to explore Fife and further by train. As we have English issued pensioners bus passes which we cant use on Scottish buses, we found the buses expensive compared with the trains with a senior railcard. Kinghorn is a lovely small town with a real community vibe, though the local shops are a bit lacking in the fresh fruit and veg area. Hide

Had a great stay at Providence House! It is very cosy and comfortable. The kitchen has everything I needed and more. And the location is just beautiful, just open the window and you hear and smell the ocean. Also great area for hiking. And a very good connection to Edinburgh by train. Thank you for a very nice stay!
